Across schools, communities and everyday moments, mental fitness continues to show up in meaningful ways.
In regional Queensland, a school community is coming together for the first time with Gotcha4Life. In Chemist Warehouse stores, people are showing up for men's mental fitness. And in our communities, even the littlest members are coming together - proving that when we work together, no one has to worry alone.

Recognising the quiet achievers
Last month, we held our inaugural Mental Fitness Leadership Awards. The Awards were created to recognise people taking outstanding action to strengthen connection, build mental fitness and support their communities in meaningful ways.
Across schools, workplaces, sporting clubs and local communities, we recognised people who are helping make mental fitness more visible through action. Teachers creating opportunities for students to feel connected and heard. Fundraisers bringing communities together and starting conversations that matter. Partners using their platforms to expand our reach and impact. Much of this work happens without recognition, but its impact runs deep through schools, workplaces and communities.
This June, we've partnered again with Chemist Warehouse to help more men build their mental fitness so they don’t have to face life’s challenges alone. Ambassadors Will & Woody know how powerful a real conversation can be.
"The vibes and banter are even better after a good old deep and meaningful chat," says Woody. Will puts it plainly: "If you talk, you would be amazed at the amount of guys that will talk back."
Head in store to donate at the counter, pick up a Mateship Band or grab a Men's Care Box - one for you, one for a mate. It's a simple way to start a conversation and show someone they're seen, supported and not alone.
The Gotcha4Life team recently made their first trip to Townsville, spending three days with the community at Belgian Gardens State School.
They worked alongside school staff to build their own mental fitness and explore practical ways to support their students. They also spent time with parents and carers, talking about why looking after our own mental fitness helps us show up better for the kids in our lives.
"Our time in Townsville allowed us to strengthen relationships and create connections as we work together to build lasting impact across the entire school community." Says Kristi-Lee, Queensland Lead.
When schools, families and communities come together like this, no one has to worry alone.

Mental fitness is built through small actions, repeated over time. The more we practise, the easier it becomes to pause, reset, check in with ourselves, and reach out to the people around us when we need it.
That’s the thinking behind a new series of exercises inside the Mental Fitness Gym app. They’re short, practical, and designed to fit into your day, whether that’s checking in with how you’re feeling, clearing the mental clutter, finding moments of appreciation, reconnecting with your village, and more.
For three years, little Billie has watched her local Row to Paradise team come together for the 24 Hour Row. Last year, she arrived with coins she had carefully saved, ready to make her own donation to Gotcha4Life. It was a small act with a huge message: when a community rows together, even its youngest members feel part of something special.
Sign up your team and row the distance for mental fitness this September 12-13.
