Hi Friend,

There’s so much happening across the Gotcha4Life village this winter. From student-led projects and community fundraising to rowing for mental fitness and wellbeing webinars.

Here’s how we’re building mental fitness together.

Voices of Change

Mentally Fit Primary Schools Student Voice Project

Students across the Hunter and Central Coast region have taken part in the Mentally Fit Primary Schools Student Voice Project, developing real-world ideas to strengthen mental fitness in their school communities.

Working in teams, students embraced leadership, problem-solving and collaboration, bringing a new sense of ownership to how they explore and understand wellbeing. By the end of the program, they proudly shared their projects and discoveries.

When asked what mental fitness now means to them, students said: “embracing your feelings,” “keeping a healthy mind,” “positive mindset,” and “working out your mental muscles and being able to control your feelings.”

Community in Action

Find out how to host your own fundraiser

Now in its second year, the Bankstown RSL Club Fundraiser Lunch was another incredible success, raising close to $30,000 for Gotcha4Life.

This community always shows up when it matters. Hosted by Bankstown RSL ambassadors and media personalities Anthony Maroon and Emma Lawrence, the event was a heartfelt celebration of mateship and connection. It reminded us how powerful it is to check in - with ourselves and each other - and that real courage is saying, “I’m not doing so great” when someone asks, “How are you?”

Support Young Lives

Your donation today can bring our mental fitness programs to another primary school, giving kids and their communities the skills to navigate life’s challenges before crisis hits.

Sadly, suicide is the leading cause of death for young Australians aged 15-24. Many of these losses are preventable. Your donation today can bring our mental fitness programs to another primary school, giving kids and their communities the skills to navigate life’s challenges before crisis hits. You're not just supporting a program - you're helping a child always choose life.
